Clanchattan Royal Robbie “AKA MacDuff” arrived in my life on the last day of the Sydney Olympics barking and telling off everyone on the tarmac of Sydney Airport. He has filled my life with love and loyalty ever since spending the first night on his new home on my bed where he has since slept every night.

MacDuff was bred by Mrs. Janelle and Mr. Ross MacGillivray of Clanchattan Scottish Terriers in Queensland. Because I wanted to have a go at showing a Scottie, MacDuff was chosen for me by Maxine and Graham Drew of Clanscot Scottish Terriers and Mr. Chris Godden of Clanwarrior Scottish Terriers.

Being my first show dog, MacDuff was my 'learning' Scottie and through all the trials and tribulations which comes with one's first show dog, we had a ball. We attained the title of Australian Champion in 2002. This was achieved I must say, 'the hard way'.   Six point challenges all the way, but we got there in the end.

MacDuff is now retired from the show ring to guarded duty and is patriarch of the ThaneCawdor Scotties clan. He spends his time and days taking leisurely walks and being young at heart. He is not called “Big Puppy” for no reason.

I will always be grateful to Mrs. Janelle and Mr. Ross MacGillivray for their friendship, generosity, and their love for their Scotties and their “baby” MacDuff, and for allowing a beautiful soul to enter my life.

For the expertise in the breed and the care which was taken in choosing my MacDuff I will always be grateful to Maxine and Graham Drew and Mr. Chris Godden - a big thank you for giving me the best start in this breed.
